Marina By: Carlos Ruiz Zafon

Lea At Sea

I was drawn to this book before it was translated here. So when it finally was, I was quite excited to begin it. The book didn’t disappoint. This is definitely a gothic tale and it was quite a unique experience for me. I really enjoy Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s books. The author has a way with imagery that is quite delightful. This book was dark, tragic, and had a hint of romance without it detracting from the overall story. All in all, if you have enjoyed any of the author’s other works or enjoy a good gothic story, I recommend this.
